Kitimat River Lodge

Kitimaat Village

The first nations in Kitimat are called the Haisla. Pictured is world renowned carver Sammy Robinson standing in front of his carving shop in Kitimaat Village.  Also nestled in the woods is a totem pole that Sammy carved some 50 years ago.  This signifies the culture and the story of the Haisla natives who lived off the land and sea long before the first explorers of the BC coast.
